I am currently developing learning activities to help undergraduate biology students understand the function and value of rangelands and rangeland management activities. Specifically, students have played the game, “Prairie Protector,” and used the “Rangeland Analysis Platform,” to develop a small group research project to understand changes in land cover over time. Currently, the learning activities are developed for first-year biology majors, but I will continue to develop additional activities for upper-division courses within the biology major at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
